Who needs to go to Europe...

Lance Armstrong getting ready for the Tour de Gruene

Racing down River Road
Waiting for Lance to ride across the finish line

So Saturday Dustin and I had a great day together. We headed out towards Lakeway and grabbed breakfast then drove the hill country back roads through Dripping Springs and Wimberley to San Marcos and stopped at the Outlet Mall. As previously stated in my blog I quickly spent the $50 I won for my work photo contest last week at White House Black Market! After our shopping time we headed down I-35 to Gruene River Road to watch some of the Tour de Gruene where Lance Armstrong was riding. If you want more pictures, the video of Lance cycling as well as details on the ride along with Lance's finishing time you can check out the hubby's blog at http://dustin.orrickfamily.com/
I must say it was awesome getting to see him ride soooo up close! I mean who needs to travel to Europe and stand in the crowds there when you can just live in the great state of Texas and see him in beautiful New Braunfels! After the excitement we headed back to Austin to grab some dinner before watching football. Unfortunately for the hubby, Texas losing kind of put a damper on the day...but I can surely end this entry since OU obliterated Nebraska with a big BOOMER SOONER!!!

Dustin and I could have taken him. I'm certain. Maybe next year.
